I wanted to capture Rod rappelling over the edge for this photo, but we just didn't have enough time. On our recent 20 hour drive from Provo to San Antonio, bringing Aubrey's car here for its eventual journey to Washington, DC, we took a quick one hour detour off the path to visit Mesa Verde National Park -- with just one hour, we weren't able to hike around at all, but we did get to view some of the amazing villages the Pueblo indians of generations and generation ago built into the rocky mountainside. This was Rod's first time to ever visit Mesa Verde -- I have some hazy memories of visiting here during a family vacation many, many years ago. We hope to get back here to explore a little longer sometime -- maybe we can build our next house INTO the rock -- the insulation's got to be pretty great!
